Q. I want to book in for a term of yoga classes but I won’t be able to make one of the classes. Can I make up the missed class at another time?A. Yes, you sure can. If you miss a class for any reason, you can make it up – before your next class. You just need to let us know which class you’re going to come along to so that we can put your name on the roll and confirm space is available. Note that missed classes can not be rolled over to the next term.
So, for example, if you’re booked into the Tuesday night class and you can’t make it to one night. Just let us know via email that you want to come to the Thursday class instead for that week. You will just need to let us know which class you’ll be attending so we can put your name on the roll and let you know if space is available.
Q. What do I need to know before my first class? What to wear? What to bring?A. If you know or suspect you have a medical condition, seek medical advice before starting yoga. Don’t push or strain yourself into postures. What to wear? What to bring?
Wear light, comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. You might consider also bringing a towel for perspiration. Yoga is practiced in bare feet. If you have a yoga mat, then bring it along. For first time students, we provide a limited number of yoga mats for your use. They are also available for sale at the studio. Food and Drink
It is important to maintain sufficient hydration, so please drink water before and after your class. You will be more comfortable if you refrain from eating anything too heavy 2 hours before class. If you need a snack, try some protein balls or a handful of nuts before class.
Bookings are essential
For your first class, you should aim to arrive 15 minutes earlier than the set time to complete your registration form and also to allow you to you settle in for your practice. A registration form will need to be completed before you begin practice to ensure that your teacher is made aware of any medical conditions you may have.
Q. How do I book online? Do I need a PayPal account?A. It’s easy and secure to pay for your classes online. Just click the Paypal “Buy Now” button on the Brisbane Yoga Classes page. You don’t need a Paypal account. You can use your credit card without signing up with PayPal.
